"A reused slab of marble with a broken corner, possibly initially used as a kitchen benchtop. This found slab has been randomly covered with fruit stickers (those from apples and oranges etc.). These stickers have been stuck on using an open all over method, disrupting any classical reading of the use of marble as an opulent art material. The two parts of the work equalise one another. The slab leans on the floor, heavy against the wall, joining the two sections of the room and divides the other works from each other. This slab could be reused once again to have a practical purpose in the kitchen."
